Sorry I have MIA lately. I have been so busy. We found a place for the wedding and set the date. I went dress shopping this last weekend and found my dress. I ended up getting it on a great deal. We reserved the date at the venue, and put our deposit down this weekend for it. I will post pictures later this afternoon. Details coming. :)

How It Happened

For those of you who don't know, J and I are engaged. I honestly could not be any happier. I really am. He proposed on Valentines day. Things have been running smoothly for us and he is making a conscious effort to be a better person, companion, and father. Which is exactly what I wanted him to do. He made me an awesome dinner which consisted of steak and shrimp with some really good fresh corn on the cob, fresh salad, and scalloped potatoes. He got me a beautiful ring, sure it isn't huge, but that does not even matter to me. What matters is the fact that he is stepping up and being that man that I have always known he could be. He got me a cute little teddy bear, some awesome, to die for, chocolates that came in flavors such as Tiramisu, Creme Brulee, brownie, and others. They were SOOOO GOOD! We have set a wedding date for November 14th 2009 and are quickly planning our wedding. Below I have posted a color pattern we want. I think its fabulous.



My good friend Eric, whom I have wrote about is making our save the date cards. He is a great graphic artist and I couldn't any more thankful for him doing that for us. Here is a sample card. Just minus out the red and put in some yellow and there you have it:



I have a few dresses picked out but I will post those once I am sure of what I am getting. I need to hit the gym some more so I can be a smokin' bride!

My work is going fabulously. For those of you who don't know I work from home and have for nearly two years. I recently got assigned to a new project and I have the potential to be making around 4k a month. I cannot wait for this.
